FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
What Bob reads, what the number means, what it costs, and what it isn't.
Can Bob read a 10-K for me?
That's the whole job: Bob's Research is the AI 10-K reader that finds the buried risks. Type a ticker and Bob reads the company's latest 10-K from SEC EDGAR, plus any newer 10-Q and material 8-Ks, and gives you a 0–100 rating, a short thesis and the risks the filing discloses, each linked back to the source.
Where does the information come from?
The company's own SEC filings, fetched directly from EDGAR. Recent news may be used as light context, but it never outweighs the filing. Every read links to the exact document it was based on.
Is this investment advice?
No. Bob's Research is a financial publisher, not an investment adviser. The rating describes what a filing says about a business. It isn't a recommendation to buy or sell, and it's the same for every reader.
How accurate is it?
Bob is an AI reader, so treat a read the way you'd treat notes from a careful analyst: a strong starting point that you check. That's why every claim is linked to the filing. If something looks off, the source is one click away.
Can it find risks buried in the footnotes?
The forensic read on Pro goes through the entire 10-K, footnotes included. The quick read works from the high-signal sections and comes back in seconds.
How is this different from asking a chatbot?
A general chatbot may answer from memory, which can be a year or more out of date, and rarely tells you which filing it means. Bob always pulls the latest filing from the SEC, rates every company the same way, and cites the document.
How often are reads updated?
Whenever the company files. A new 10-K, 10-Q or material 8-K produces a new read, and popular tickers are re-read ahead of time so they come back instantly.
What does it cost?
A few reads are free. Reader is $5 a month for unlimited quick reads. Pro is $20 a month and adds the full forensic read with five years of filing history.
Can my own agent or app use Bob?
Yes. There is an API: one endpoint, a ticker in, rating, thesis and risks out. See the For Agents page.
